Sebi's story
www.lovebubbleboy.com
Another clinic day. Sebi had caught his brothers cold and now seems to be getting over it - excellent to
see. He also has gained two pounds since his last visit (a week ago)....I think his diaper was wet but come
on....not 2 pounds worth I am sure! He had a blood draw today and they got it on the first stick so that was
nice. His donor cells are increasing and blood work all looks good. Eating well (well he is very picky and
because of the transplant still is not enjoying sweet stuff so much). He has tried to take a couple steps on
his own so I give him another month or so and I bet he is walking. We will start bi-weekly doctor visits with
blood draws once a month as long as all continues to go well. The room addition is about complete...I think
in 2-3 more weeks we will have use of it and the fence will go back up so the dogs will have their
freedom...now we just have to get grass and a more kid friendly back area. Oh Sebi does not have to wear
his mask anymore for walks (as long as we stay away from lawn mowing and construction). The other day he
refused to wear it...I must have put it on 50 times and then just gave up...called the doctor and they gave
the ok for walks without....very very nice. He loves his bath time, especially bubble baths. He eats the
bubbles and drinks the water - has no fear of water. I can pour water over his head and he just looks at
me...then I dump it on Xavier and he freaks out...its in my eyes..help mommy...I need my washcloth....ahhha
ahhhh ahhh. Amazing. The boys get on well most of the time...I am finding a lot of pinching and hair pulling
going on (Sebi is the one doing it) and then Xavier comes crying to me after pushing Sebi over. It's definitely
nice that they have each other, even when they do pick on each other. Sebi is extremely
possessive...whenever I pick Xavier up or even touch him Sebi starts crying and then if I continue on with
Xavier Sebi starts hitting his head against the floor. He does that alot. One day people will say oh he is a
little slow from scids treatment stuff and I will say no it is because everyday he hit his head on the floor,
repeatedly...and hard. He really does have a temper...about every other day he has a time out in his crib for
biting or pinching or pulling my hair. Xavier and I have been asking him how he got into our house (the
chicken monkey)...why do we have a wild animal on the loose in the house...and who dressed that animal?
See this is what happens to families in isolation...
